Yeah, It's A Girl

Here is the birth announcement that I made for our newest arrival, our daughter, Camryn Ruby. I was on bedrest for the last 4 months of my pregnancy so I had plenty of time, but wasn't able to stamp much. I couldn't sit up and pressing down on the stamps hurt my stomach. My niece and Mom helped me make these birth announcements. I wanted to do a pocket card for the announcement, but figured since I was having others help me, I better keep it simple.

I used Pink Passion for the card base and stamped my Canvas background stamp on the front of the card. I then layered it with Basic Black, Pink Passion and Whisper White. I stamped the baby carriage from the SU! Baby Talk stamp set and used my watercolor pencils and blender pens to color in the image.

Look out IKEA!!! Here I come!

Only a little over 40 hours before I leave for IKEA! I can't wait! I have been dreaming about all the fun stuff I want to buy....all the storage containers (what I will fill them with), my new chair I'm going to buy and whatever else will fit into our vehicle!

My mom and I are going on Friday to have some well deserved girl time. Our pocket-books may suffer in the end, but it's well worth it for some mother-daughter bonding time.

I'll show you all my goodies when I return.

Sorry so short! My UPS (I mean "the" UPS) man just arrived with my SU! order) Hopefully I can get a few minutes in of playtime before the girls wake up from their naps.

100% Girl

My daughter Emerson (turns 3 end of September) is 100% girl. She is in this new phase where she wants to wear a dress everyday....and I mean everyday. Not a skirt, it must be a dress. She is in full uniform today. She saw the hat in her room and had to wear the dress. It was still in the laundry basket from doing laundry this weekend (hey, at least it was clean....they'll get put away some day!) and needed to be ironed, but she didn't care...she just wanted to wear her dress and hat. I snapped a picture of her in her dress and this picture just shows her personality.

Quick story: I was on the way to drop the girls off at my sister-in-laws today so I could go to physical therapy. Emerson likes to listen to her music (you know, Old McDonald, etc.) in the car and I just didn't feel like it. There are only so many times you can listen to it before you go bonkers! I told her that we were going to have some quiet time and listen the rain and watch the trees, so we weren't going to listen to any music right now. Her reply: "I betcha I can." I said, "Excuse me?" ( I couldn't believe what I just heard.) She said "I betcha I can Mom." This is the daughter that my mother has always been praying that I have. It's called "PAYBACK". She is definitely 110% my daughter. She's not even 3 yet, which means I've got some long days ahead of me! :)

Bugs & Kisses

Here is another card that I made for my mom's "order". I still like to use last years In-Colors from SU so I created this card. I have been wanting to borrow this set from a friend of mine (Amber) and just finally got around to doing it. I used Vintage Violet for the base and then topped it with Whisper White and the Cuttlebug flower folder. I used my new favorite oval scalloped punch. Nothing too fancy, but I still had fun playing with the bugs.

Supplies: Stamps: Bugs & Kisses; Paper: Vintage Violet, Whisper White, Basic Black; Accessories: Vintage Violet Stitched Ribbon, Giga Oval Scalloped Punch, Mega Oval Punch; Ink: Vintage Violet, Staz On Black

Feeling Froggy???

(This will be a short one tonight...baby is crying, so I'm typing fast!!)

Here's another card that I made for my mom's "order". I seem to have the darnest time trying to come up with masculine cards. I'm not sure how masculine the frog is, but at least the colors are! I CASED this card from Lizlovesstampin (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...izlovesstampin). The card was easy to do, plus I got to use my ribbon (I'm a ribbon addict!!)

Supplies: Stamps: Unfroggetable; Paper: True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Whisper White; Ink: Black Staz On, True Thyme; Accessories: Blender Pens, Cranberry Crisp Ribbon

Growing like a weed! (I mean flower)

We had Camryn's 2-month check-up yesterday and she's doing well. So well, that she is in the 93rd percentile for her weight at 12 lbs. 11 oz!! Emerson was only 10 lbs (15th percentile) at her 2-month visit. Both girls were the same length (22" long) when they were born and now Camryn is 23 3/4" long (90th percentile) and Emerson was 23" long (50th percentile). At the rate Camryn is going, she is going to surpass Emerson soon! I'm not even sure if Emerson weighs 25 lbs. going on 3 years old!

Feeling Crafty!

Rich took Emerson to a Whitecaps game Saturday night, so I finally had some uninterrupted time, except Camryn, to get some cards made. Check out my gallery and they should be posted sometime on Monday.
I'm currently making a batch of cards for my mom that she "ordered" and this is one that I made.
Supplies: Stamps: Unfrogettable, Small Scripts. Paper: Whisper White, Cool Caribbean, Basic Brown. Ink: Cool Caribbean, Brown Staz On, Marigold Morning. Accessories: Blender Pens, eyelets, Brown Grosgrain Ribbon.

New Photo/Blog Website

Well, I was notified by our photo website company that they were discontinuing their site. Apparently they weren't able to compete in the photo website world any longer. What a bummer! So, in order to still be able to post blogs as well as have the photo albums, things will be set up a little different. You can come to our blog and see what's new with us. There will be photos and updates to look at. Also, posted on the right side of the page under "My Favorite Links", there will be links to the new photo albums posted on Snapfish. I know it's a pain, but it's the only way I could still do both for FREE!

Bare with me as the site will be "under construction" for awhile as it will take me some time to get everything set up. It's not like I'm on bedrest and have nothing to do! Hope you enjoy our pictures.
